Community Catalysts is a special initiative where Men & Women of Character actively supports other local nonprofits and community organizations by volunteering at their events. By lending our time and expertise, we help amplify their impact on the community, foster a spirit of cooperation, and strengthen the network of support across Trenton, NJ. This program invites organizations in need of volunteers to "call on us" for assistance, reinforcing our commitment to collaborative community development.
Seasons of Sustenance is a bi-annual food truck event, hosted in partnership with Ashant'e Love, that serves the Trenton community during the summer and just before the December holidays. These events provide free, nutritious meals to the community and are a festive occasion for gathering and gratitude, featuring live music, local vendors, and activities for all ages.
Fresh Start Kits is a program designed to support the hygiene needs of youth in our community. We provide hygiene bags filled with essential items such as toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, and other personal care products. These kits are available upon request to teachers and community organizations that serve young people, ensuring that every child has access to the basic necessities for health and wellness.
Senior Tech Connect, is a unique program that bridges the gap between generations and technology. In this initiative, youth volunteers assist seniors in mastering new tech tools, from smartphones to social media. This collaborative effort not only enhances digital literacy for our elders but also fosters meaningful connections across generations.
Annual Community Clean-Up Day, a volunteer-driven event that brings the community together to beautify a chosen community. This day not only improves the local environment but also instills a sense of pride and ownership among residents of all ages.
The Creative Arts Festival is a celebration of local art, music, and culture, showcasing the talents of local youth and seniors.
